The Designer/Drafting Supervisor is responsible for supervising, directing and mentoring the design/drafting team.
The supervisor is also responsible for 3D piping and equipment models, drafting, designing and detailing various projects assigned to them and coordinating with the engineers. Perform regular and recurring designer/drafter duties independently following established policies/procedures and practices. Prepares detailed drawings of mechanical layouts, plans, equipment and piping according to specifications provided by the engineering team and our customers.

Controller
We are an engineering design-build firm with a staff of 25-30, mostly engineers and drafters. We work in the bioenergy sector doing engineering, procurement and construction. As controller you would be the main point of contact and responsible for filing employment taxes, sales and use tax reports and maintaining our business registration in various midwestern states.

Site Supervisor
Plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with the construction of an industrial facility following OSHA 1926. Provide management oversight for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating subcontractors, materials, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within design parameters.
Coordinate and communicate between Engineering, customer, and subcontractors. Supervise and train on site project staff as needed. Utilize construction knowledge to manage the project and provide feedback to project management on safety concerns, progress, and quality. Receive, store, track and issue materials to subcontractors supplied by NBB.
The ideal candidate will have a background in pipe welding/fitting; be knowledgeable in mechanical, concrete, and electrical subcontracting; and be willing to travel. We will train the right person in our project management system.
Must be able to successfully pass any local, state, or federal background check requirements. Must be available to travel and work more than standard hours when necessary. Physical activities including standing, sitting, bending, walking, and heavy lifting >40 lbs.

Mechanical Designer/Drafter

Mechanical Engineer/Designer Hybrid
Perform all routine mechanical engineering calculations. Perform mechanical engineering duties; plan, design, and oversee the equipment and materials selection for industrial projects. Develop engineering details into equipment specifications, requests for proposal and a final design. Gather, analyze, interpret, act upon, and pass on all pertinent project data. Maintain an informational database on all pertinent equipment information. Coordinate with structural, electrical, and chemical disciplines during the engineering for design-build projects. Four (4) year engineering degree required.
Develop subcontractor bid packages for piping, millwrights, insulation, etc. Perform periodic site visits to verify subcontractor conformance to drawings and specifications. Coordinate with site superintendent to address construction questions and issues. Perform cost estimating and create proposal documents for the mechanical scope of potential projects. Assist with equipment commissioning and startup as required. Coordinate with equipment vendors to solicit quotes and generate equipment purchase orders.
Develop 3D piping and equipment models, drafting, designing, and detailing various projects for which you are the mechanical engineer. Coordinate with electrical and structural engineers for pipe routing, equipment placement and other space considerations following established design/drafting policies/procedures and practices. Prepares detailed drawings of mechanical layouts, plans, equipment and piping according to project specifications.
