The Corn Oil Recovery technology from Alfa Laval is designed to capture oil from the whole stillage phase of the process. This technology provides for greater oil recovery as it accesses oil that would otherwise be lost to the solids phase utilizing previous oil recovery options. Implementing this new technology has allowed the customer to see a 62% increase in oil recovery within the first three months of operation, from 0.805lb/bu to 1.303lb/bu. The increased revenue from this project generated an estimated 11-month payback on their investment.
